Blast from the past! CND Brisa Lite Smoothing gel

Updated: Feb 23, 2018

Today one of my regular clients came back with a little more chipping on the nails that I like to see.

I decided to use CND Brisa Lite Smoothing gel to strengthen the nails a little

Before shooting the video I removed the previous Shellac. In this video you will see how I did the manicure and applied CND Brisa Lite Base Coat and Brisa Lite Smoothing gel.

AI removed the inhibition layer with 99% IPA and gave the nails a gentle shaping.

I wiped the nails again with 99% IPA and I applied CND Shellac (without the base coat).

When I use Smoothing gel I use CND Xpress 5 top coat for an easier removal (unless I'm using a light color, I found XPress 5 discolours sometimes with light colors)

I have tried applying the color right into the inhibition layer but I found that the color would go on little "watery", I guess it mixed a little with the uncured layer of Brisa Lite.

In 2 weeks I will update this post with how the gel wore.

PS. Have you used Brisa Lite? Did you have good results?

Brisa Lite has been discontinued I know, but I'm sure many techs stocked up ;)

Happy nailing!
